St. Croixs Buccaneer resort unveils new choices for family vacationers interested in a Caribbean vacation with kids on the occasion of its 65th anniversary as the Caribbean’s longest-running resort. Owned and managed by the same family since 1947, the resort has unique expertise in meeting the preferences, needs and budgets of families of all sizes.
New choices for family vacationers include a package featuring connecting oceanfront rooms, a car for the length of the stay, and a range of flexible accommodations: from a cottage exclusively reserved for families, to a new two-bedroom, three-bath suite that sets a new standard for tropical luxury. A daily, complimentary Kids Camp for 4 to 12-year-olds creates a separate but equal resort experience for kids.
The value-oriented “Family” package, one of The Buccaneers new Legends & Luxury collection of packages, offers two connecting oceanfront rooms with private patios, a car rental for the entire stay, and a welcome amenity. The four-night package accommodates a family of five (maximum three adults) and is priced at $ 3,300 from April 16 to December 16, 2012.
Another popular choice for families is a charming two-bedroom, one-bath Family Cottage, offering privacy, value and a convenient location between the Great House and beaches. Each cottage has a patio that fronts a spacious lawn and sea views. The master bedroom features a king bed and twin window seat, and a second bedroom offers two twin beds (one a trundle). From April 16 to December 16, a Family Cottage is $ 368 per night, accommodating a maximum of two adults and three children.
A new luxury choice for family accommodations is The Buccaneers two-bedroom, three bath Ficus Suite. Located steps from the beach with direct sea views, the expansive suite has been completely renovated: from its new marble floors to its new, vaulted wood ceilings. Designer-decorated, it features a full kitchen, combined dining and living room, a foyer/sitting area/sleeping area, wide balcony for dining and sunbathing, custom-created works of art and accessories, and widescreen panel TVs in every room. From April 16 to December 16, the Ficus Suite is $ 1,220 per night, comfortably accommodating eight people.
All families are offered complimentary daily Kids Camp for children 4 to 12 years old, featuring its own clubhouse, trained counselors, indoor and outdoor creative activities, naps and lunches.
Guests of The Buccaneer also enjoy a complimentary breakfast buffet each morning, use of snorkels, kayaks and floating mats at the beach, scuba lessons, general managers cocktail reception (Tuesday), and a nature and history tour of the resort.
With just 138 rooms and suites, The Buccaneer offers the warm, personal service of a boutique hotel, yet is situated on 340 magnificent, beach-rimmed acres. Accommodations are located in the signature pink Great House, on two of three beaches, and on ridges overlooking the sea, gently-rolling golf greens and acclaimed tennis center. Two swimming pools, three restaurants, a renovated spa and fitness center, and a designer boutique enhance the ambiance of a self-contained destination resort.
The Buccaneer is recognized by the National Trust as a Historic Hotel of America, and is a partner in Stash Hotel Rewards, a rewards program offering free nights at independent hotels throughout the United States. For Buccaneer reservations call 800-255-3881 or visit http://www.TheBuccaneer.com.
